Pure Ceylon Tea offered by Mackwoods is grown, plucked and processed in Sri Lanka while the term Orange Pekoe means a way of grading the tea leaf which is commonly mistaken as giving it an orange flavour profile. Orange Pekoe or OP means the highest grade of black tea which is primarily produced in Sri Lanka and other South Asian regions.
Most OP teas are black while it has been graded in such a way after harvesting - sending it to be withered, rolled, heated and fermented. This particular blend of Mackwoods can also be enjoyed with a dash of milk and sugar to suit your taste profile. This full bodied black tea which comprises of broken segments of coarse leaves is bright with a coppery liquor.
