Tea Tree essential oil comes from steaming the leaves of the Australian Tea Tree (not to be mistaken with Ceylon tea or any other tea variety). When used topically, Tea Tree essential oil is believed to be antibacterial and antifungal. This makes it effective as a natural deodorant. Tea tree oil is commonly used to treat acne, athlete's foot, lice, dandruff, nail fungus and insect bites.
