Collection: Safari from Kala Wewa

Covering a land area of over 6000 hectares, the Kala Wewa National Park is a forest reserve that surrounds the massive man made tanks – Kala Wewa and Balalu Wewa. Initially built for agriculture purposes in ancient times, these tanks are now used for many things including nourishing the forest habitat. The herds of elephants seen roaming in Kala Wewa consists of a higher concentration of tuskers (male elephants). Apart from the elephants, the park also has flocks of open billed storks visiting in large numbers while there are beautiful landscapes that you should just enjoy during your jeep safari. Lakpura organizes private jeep safaris so that you can enjoy with your closest friends or family or even on your own.
